Standing Seam Roofing

Whether it’s a pitched, mono-pitched, curved, wave form or tapered roof, Camclad can offer expert advice on the best solutions to meet your requirements.

Standing Seam is a style of roofing that has panels which run vertically up the length of the roof, with seams connecting each panel.

This differs from traditional roofing as it allows a tight-fitting and substantial covering which is flexible when under thermal expansion due to the fact that they are crimped together.

As well as being popular for their attractive design due to an extensive range of colours, finishes and roof shapes, Standing Seam Roof systems can also offer great acoustic and thermal qualities and are regularly used on cinemas, music halls and sport centres. They can also be suitable for high humidity areas such as swimming pools.

Camclad can install many types of Standing Seam Roofs whether they are pitched, mono-pitched, curved, wave form or tapered roofs and can offer expert advice on the best solutions to meet your requirements.

When Standing Seam top sheets are too long for transportation to site, they can be produced on-site, including curving from special roll former containers. Depending on site conditions this can be carried out at ground level with the sheets then being hoisted up to roof level or if there is limited space on site for roll former containers, it can be hoisted at eaves level.  Camclad can provide this service, including cranes, telehandlers and all necessary lifting gear, ensuring the roof is installed safely and as per the manufacturers’ instructions.
